Console Dashboard & Identity Provider Service

We start 2022 by introducing two new services: Console and IdP are here to replace current separate sub-domains for Account and Compute services and dashboards. This means that, in the future, Account and Compute are both accessed via console.genesiscloud.com instead of compute.genesiscloud.com and account.genesiscloud.com. Introducing a separate service for Identity Provider (IdP) will make authentication actions faster, more reliable, and as secure as possible.

Here’s a summary of the changes and associated benefits:

 
• Faster responsiveness of the dashboard
 
• Improved mobile responsiveness and more coherent look and feel for Sign up, Sign in, password reset, and 2FA screens
 
• Resolve occasional failed requests when navigating between dashboards
 
• Resolve rare log outs when switching between dashboards
 
• Support new and more advanced features in the future    
       
  • Organization and Team Accounts (see image 1 below)
       
  • Guided on-boarding wizard for new users (see image 2 below)

Going forward, all new services will stay unified under Console. This enables us to provide more advanced features in the future while staying true to the highest level of User Experience (UX) standards, for which Genesis Cloud is known for in the cloud industry. Account and Compute as services will not change materially in any way for you due to these changes.
