Product Update

At Genesis Cloud, we’re committed to transparency, simplicity, and earning your trust. To better reflect how we operate and protect your information, we’ve made updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s changed and why it matters.

What’s new in the Terms of Service

  1. Prepaid account balance
Your account can be funded in advance in USD (other currencies are available upon request). It’s flexible, valid for up to 3 years, and simplifies billing.
  2. More payment options
We accept SEPA Direct Debit (EUR) alongside credit cards and wire transfers. We’ve also clarified how failed payments and refunds are handled.
  3. Usage limits explained
We’ve outlined how service usage limits work and what happens if you exceed them, no surprises.
  4. Data handling & backups
You’re in full control of your data, as always with Genesis Cloud, including backups. If your services involve personal data, we’ll ensure compliance through a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
  5. Account termination clarity
We’ve detailed the process for ending services, including how you can retrieve your data.
  6. Brand mentions & benchmarking
We may mention you as a customer in our materials. Benchmarking results can be shared publicly if they include enough information to be reproduced fairly.
  7. Working together on legal matters
We’ve clarified mutual responsibilities in the event of legal matters, based on fairness and transparency.
  8. Handling the unexpected
A new section explains what happens in rare cases, such as natural disasters, that could impact service delivery.

What’s new in the Privacy Policy

  1. Clearer structure & language
We’ve improved readability to make it easier to understand how your data is handled.
  2. More details on data processing
From cookies to newsletter subscriptions, we explain in more detail what data we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.
  3. Expanded user rights
It’s even easier to find out how you can access, modify, delete, or object to the use of your data.
  4. Third-party services transparency
We clearly explain when data may be processed by third-party services (e.g., Twilio for phone verification, LinkedIn for engagement insights).
  5. Stronger safeguards for international transfers
We ensure that all data transfers outside the EU meet strict security and legal standards.

We encourage you to review the full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for all the details. By continuing to use your Genesis Cloud account after the 7th of May 2025, you agree to these updated terms. If for any reason you don’t agree with our new terms, send us a notification and we will delete your account.

If you have any questions or feedback, we’re always here to help at contact@genesiscloud.com.

Thanks for building with us!
