Nick is our Chief Executive Officer with over 15 years of experience in different tech startups and management consulting. He leads all aspects of our global grow strategy, customer success, shareholders management, and company culture. Previously Nick served in different leadership roles, including CEO of Genesis Mining Iceland as well as European Lead for Genesis Mining, Director of Operations for Redavia GmbH, Management Consultant for McKinsey & Company, and diverse senior leadership roles at Genser Power Inc.
Nick earned a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies from Delft University of Technology.
Chief Business Development Officer
Dr. Alex Harpe is the Chief Business Development Officer at Genesis Cloud with over 20 years of experience in the IT, research, and management consulting industries. Alex manages our marketing and sales teams and provides expert insight into meeting customer needs. Previously Alex held senior leadership roles at IBM, Forrester Research, Fujitsu, and Accenture, most recently serving as the Senior Vice President of Sales at IBM Watson Media.
Alex earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Munich LMU, a PhD from Wadham College at Oxford University and an Executive MBA from Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Technology Officer
Tristan is our chief technology officer and plays a vital role in overseeing product development, building, testing, and deploying new hardware and software solutions, and above all, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted delivery of high-quality services to our users. His past experiences range from financial services to 24/7 broadcasting operations and high-traffic platforms with billions of users. Terms such as availability, performance, and security are not ambitious goals but minimum requirements for every software and IT infrastructure he manages.
Tristan has been managing and supporting small startups and global corporations with the highest quality standards over the past ten years.
Stefan is an experienced product manager with a track record of building commercially successful products for the artificial intelligence and banking industries. As an accomplished Agile team leader, Stefan fosters a disciplined management philosophy that encourages teamwork, self organization and accountability. At Genesis Cloud he is responsible for product direction, team management, and stakeholder alignment.
Stefan earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics from Griffith University.
Dr. Richard Socher is currently the CEO of You.com, a new trusted consumer-first search engine launched in 2020. Richard is the founder and former CEO/CTO of MetaMind, which was later acquired by Salesforce, where he served for several years as chief scientist (EVP). Previously Richard was an adjunct professor at Stanford's computer science department and possesses a wealth of experience in fundamental research, applied research, product incubation, CRM search, customer service automation, and developing cross-product AI platforms for unstructured and structured data.
Richard earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stanford University.
Dr. Marco Krohn has earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics at Leibniz Universität Hannover. While working in the finance and investment banking industries, Marco became interested in Bitcoin, which prompted him to make a major career move and join the cryptocurrency revolution. He is the co-founder of several successful blockchain companies, including Genesis Digital Assets, Genesis Mining, Genesis Group, and Blockchain Consulting GmbH.
Dutch is an engineer and strategy consultant working with founders and companies to build enduring businesses. As cofounder and COO of Genesis Cloud, Dutch oversaw the company's cloud infrastructure strategy and development, growing the company from zero to 10,000 registered users in less than three years and expanding our team to 20 individuals worldwide. Prior to Genesis Cloud Dutch worked for Xilinx where he helped Amazon, among other notable companies, to develop machine learning applications and deploy FPGAs into cloud data centers.
Dutch earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Engineering Management at Arizona State University.
